Can you imagine being 96 years old and still going stronger than ever?? Well that’s exactly the case for the National Park Service celebrating its 96th birthday this Saturday, August 25th 2012! Come join in the festivities by visiting a local national park. With 58 of them across the United States, it won’t be too difficult to find one near you! And don’t worry, no birthday presents necessary…only your presence :)

Among these wonders of America is Yellowstone, the first national park to be established. Home to the world’s largest super volcano, Yellowstone’s reputation precedes it. Majestic mountains, cascading waterfalls, geysers in action, and soothing hot springs are only a portion of what give this park it’s appeal. When venturing into the heart of the forest, you will encounter Yellowstone’s amazing wildlife sanctuary filled with herds of buffalo, elk, bison, eagles, mountain lions, bears, moose, trumpeter swans, and several other animals.

Bison are the most popular animals at Yellowstone park…and similar to the ‘popular kids’ in high school, they like to make their presence known (even if it entails stopping traffic on the road).
