Halloween is just around the corner and everyone is shaking in their boots, ready for a good fright! But traveling? That is something that should be fun, exhilarating, and exciting…not scary and unnerving. Whether you are searching for a sun-kissed summer resort, a winter wonderland, or fun-filled fall destination, packing the right items is an absolute necessity. So to avoid unwanted anxiety and the panic of a last minute packing disaster, here are a few essentials you will need to have a successful trip.

Never Underestimate the Wrath of Winter: No matter where you’re traveling to, even if it is sunny California, winters anywhere are brutal. Always remember to pack at least a few items of long sleeved clothing, full pants, and maybe a sweater or two. Ice cubes belong in the freezer, not on vacation…so bundle up!

Medicine: When venturing into a foreign environment, keep in mind that your body is not accustomed to it since it isn’t your place of residence. Therefore, you might eat or drink the exact same food/beverage as all the locals but still get sick. This is why it is imperative to pack a first aid/medicine kit complete with: Mosquito/Bug Repellent, Bandages, Medicine, Antiseptic Wipes, Cotton Balls, Tweezers, and Gauze Pads.

Accessories: Tooth brush, toothpaste, dental floss, hair brush/comb, deodorant, chap stick, and sunscreen are items that most people forget given how small and disposable they are. Though tiny, they are still significant to beauty and health upkeep. Ladies generally never forget to bring along their makeup, just don’t make the mistake of forgetting your makeup remover!

Travel Documents: You might be completely packed and ready to have the time of your life but without travel documents you unfortunately won’t get further than the airport. Be sure to secure your tickets, passport, credit cards, and itinerary with you.
Personality: Last but not least, never forget to bring your sense of humor and positive attitude  Oh and a camera too so you can take awesome pictures to post on face book and make everyone jealous. You’re going on vacation so get excited!
